Hi, I’m Andrea. I quit a brand-strategy job in 2019 to figure out how to make a living from my laptop. I did. I write about it here — the months that worked, the months that didn’t, the actual numbers.

I spent ten years climbing the agency ladder in New York. I made decent money, hated my commute, and watched my parents retire on a fraction of what they’d been promised. In 2019 I quit with about $18k in savings and an aggressive plan to either build something online or be back applying for jobs by Christmas. I wasn’t back by Christmas. I built a writing service, then a small course, then a newsletter, then an affiliate site, then a coaching offer. Some of those died. Two of them now pay my rent. This blog is the long version of how that actually happened — the spreadsheet decisions, the bad months I didn’t post about anywhere else, the tools I tried and dropped, and the few specific moves that actually moved the needle. No "10 ways to make $10k" posts. No coaching upsell at the end. I post when I have something specific to say, which usually means once or twice a week.
